The Governor's Mansion - Second Investigation
Hampton Falls, NH - October 16,
2010
On October 16, 2010, Souhegan Paranormal
Investigators had the privilege to conduct a second investigation at the Governor's Mansion in Hampton
Falls, NH. Attendees from SPI included Sue, John, Patti, Debbie and Michelle. Also included in this
investigation were two of our very good friends from Synergy Paranormal, Frank and Eric. Frank is an EVP
specialist from Boston, MA, and Eric is one terrific investigator. During our first investigation, we
captured a still photo in the servants quarters of what we believed to be a shadow person. Our
professional photographer, Matt, spent 2-1/2 hours attempting to debunk this photo, but was left scratching
his head. It seemed that all indications were that we had indeed captured a shadow person on film.
Upon our return visit to the Mansion, a large focus was attempting to recreate the photo. We knew if
we could recreate the photo, then we had not captured a shadow person. Between two investigators, there
were over 35 pictures taken in an attempt to recreate what we had seen in the original photo. After making a
very honest attempt to duplicate our original findings and being unable to do so, we concluded that the original
photo from the first investigation was indeed an authentic picture of a shadow person.
History:
The Honorable Warren Brown was born August 11, 1836, and died September
19, 1919. He married Sarah Gertrude Norris on January 1, 1867, and together they had five
children. Sarah died January 24, 1917. Warren Brown was a state senator from
1872-1873. It is said that he decided to run for Governor of New Hampshire and was so
confident of winning that he built a huge Victorian mansion in 1880 known as "Sunnyside".
Unfortunately, he lost the election. In later years, the mansion was referred to as the "Governor's
Mansion". The property was
acquired by the current owners, Mr. and Mrs. George Blaisdell in 2000. George is an insurance
broker and designs benefit plans for larger organizations and employers. He stumbled upon this home
when not even in the market to purchase a new residence. To read more about the history of
the mansion and the claims of paranormal activity, please review the information written in the first
investigation. To peruse the write-up of the first investigation, please click on The Governor's Mansion (First Investigation), Hampton Falls, NH August 1.

Note: While listening to the following
EVP's, using headphones will enhance the audio for your listening pleasure. You may have to turn the
volume up as well, because some of these EVP's are weak, but we didn't want to omit them because they are a
true part of our evidence.
The
Walkthrough:
Frank and Eric not been to the Mansion for the first
investigation, so prior to starting the investigation Sue did a walkthrough with them. Frank discovered
some "hot spots" (spiritual energy) in a few locations such as in the basement near a couple of closed doors,
in the gallery room of stuffed animals, in the hallway near the basement entrance, in the attic, and in the
windmill. Some of these locations did leave an impression of heaviness on Frank's chest; not that he
was purposely being harmed in any way; just that the paranormal density was great and the physical
symptoms reflected that. The following is an EVP that was captured on Frank's voice recorder while in
the hallway near the basement entrance.
1. As Eric and Frank
walked toward the source, Frank felt energy at the threshold to the stairs leading to the basement area and
stopped to say to Eric "Now, it's right here in the threshold" to which Eric asked "Right here?" Eric then
snapped a photo. Just after that you can hear a voice that is out of place saying "They’re closer..." followed
by an unknown word after “closer” which might be "boss".
Personal
Experience: A little while
later during the walkthrough, Frank had an amazing experience. We were standing at the base of the
stairs that lead to the attic. Sue was speaking with John who was setting up the last DVR
camera. At that moment, Frank turned his head and glanced upward to the open attic. He saw a
shadow figure that was 4-5 ft. tall that moved from left to right across the doorway. Frank
interrupted Sue and told her immediately. In haste, Frank then went up to the attic to chase down
the shadow figure. He had only his clipboard and his audio recorder with him. Standing in the
middle section of the attic he was asking questions and scanning the room both visually and
extentually. Frank then noticed what appeared to be a shadow figure about 3 or 4 feet above
the ground leaning out from the connecting room. The figure quickly retracted into the darkness in
an area that was difficult to get to. Eric came up to the attic and Frank told him what he
experienced. By that time the source was gone, but this was a place Frank felt he HAD to come back
to later in the evening during the investigative session.
