The Board
of Directors has concluded its investigation of paranormal activity at the Museum. As most of you know,
we've already had two groups come to investigate.
The first, Soul
Seekers, piqued the curiosity of East Coast Transcommunication Organization. ECTOs findings were
revealed at last year's annual meeting. For a re-cap visit their website at www.ectoparanormal.com.
If that wasn't enough,
I convinced the Board to allow another group to come in. I received a phone call from Sue Allen of the
Souhegan Paranormal Investigators (SPI). They are a wonderful group of folks from the Nashua area, who
heard of the Museum after ECTOs presentation.
Their lead
investigator, Bill Stinson, has worked with Jay and Grant from the popular SciFi television show
"Taps". Like the other two teams before them, they brought an array of equipment, seasoned
investigators, and a medium.
Much to their
disappointment, SPI was unable to capture any videos of their experiences that night. Many of them felt
cold spots, and two members who were seated felt their chairs begin to rock simultaneously. The members
planted their feet firmly on the floor yet the chairs continued to sway. The medium, Mary Lou, spoke
with a man who identified himself as a doctor, as well as to Hazel Allen. Hazel led Mary Lou to
her picture in the front hall.
What they lacked in
video they made up in audio. Electronic Voice Phenomenon, known as EVPs, are voices that can only be
heard on audio equipment. They captured many unexplainable sounds, such as loud clapping and tapping
noises, laughter, and "grunts". The sound of footsteps appeared frequently as well. The most
exciting was the verbal interaction between the team and the "inhabitants" of the Museum. Answers to
questions asked by the members, can clearly be heard though they have a strange quality. Visit their
website as www.souheganparanormalinvestigators.com.
I would like to thank
all three groups, and a special thanks to the Board of Directors for allowing me to give them access.
For those of you who don't believe, you may find a visit to their websites
intriguing!
