Private Residence in Wilton, NH
(Second Investigation)

Investigation: Once again, we were called to investigate a private home in Wilton, NH, that we had previously investigated.  We had previously determined there was certainly paranormal activity in the home and though the homeowner was not frightened by this activity, they wanted to try to learn more about the ghosts/spirits that were there.  This time we brought along Shalimar, who is a Spiritualist Catalyst and Adewyn who is a Spiritual Advisor/Medium.  All members from the SPI Group were in attendance:  Bill, Chris, Sue, Mario, Irene, and Rita. 

While outside the home, Shalimar took a picture of the house and captured a huge orb with a design in it just above the roof of the house. (Please go to the image gallery to view this picture.)

We began the investigation at approximately 8:00 p.m.  Mario, Irene, Shalimar, Adewyn, and I headed down to the cellar. It wasn’t long before we began experiencing some activity. Adewyn began feeling a presence and she allowed the presence to show himself using her body. Adewyn has blonde hair. The presence showed himself as having dark hair, rounded shoulders, and a bit of an extended stomach. As Adewyn began talking, her voice had a deepened tone to it. Using the talents of both Shalimar and Adewyn, we learned that the entity was a 47 year old male; was living in the house in 1937; was murdered in the house, and is buried within a wall in the cellar. Before he faded away, a female presence attempted to use Adewyn’s body to show herself, but Adewyn wouldn’t allow it because the female presence felt like a negative entity. However, the entity did speak through Adewyn. The female presence presented her name to the sound of Ashley or Emily or something that sounded like either of those names. She lived in the house around 1875. She said she married “Walter” at the age of 14 years old, but that it was a loveless marriage because she was barren. When she was 21 years old, her husband cast her aside (for another woman) and murdered her. She was also buried within a wall in the cellar.

Adewyn and Shalimar found evidence in the cellar upon a stair, near the opening of a portal, where a spell had been cast and later broken. We do not know who may have set the spell or who broke the spell. On the stair near the portal, a diamond shape had been created and rocks placed at the points of north, south, east, and west. In the center was a rock representing air, earth, wind, and fire. (See photo in the image gallery.)  The portal was being used for entities to go in and out. We suspect that at one point in time the spell was cast to keep entities from passing through the portal, and at a later date one rock was removed from the southern point of the diamond shape that once again allowed entities to pass in and out. To the left of the spell was a stone wall and on a piece of stone was a very large “X” etched in the stone. Adewyn and Shalimar explained the “X” represented “keep out.” It is impossible to know when the spell had been put there or when it was broken. We asked the homeowner what they knew about this spell and they were not aware of its existence.

Also, in the cellar was discovered a “torture room.” Though we had previously investigated this room, we did not recognize it as being that of a torture room. Upon closer scrutiny, Adewyn and Shalimar showed us scratch marks that might have been made by a human hand, as well as other scratches that appear on a wooden wall, and square headed nails of long ago that were nailed in the wall and might have been used to “hang” people. (See photo in the image gallery.)  They reported that children and adults were tortured in this room. It was known as the “punishment room.” They received the name “Lizzie”, that of a 5 yr. old girl who had been starved, beaten and sexually abused. Lizzie was said to have brown hair and that she loved wearing pigtails until the “bad man” would not allow her to wear them anymore. Lizzie kept repeating “bad man, bad man.” She was only one of many that were said to have been victims of a Reverend that lived during the early 1700's to early 1800's. Though he was a Pastor, it appears he hid behind the “robe”. He was said to be a very cruel and abusive man. A little boy, approximately 3 yrs. old, also began to speak but he advised that he had not been a victim of the torture. It was also reported that Native American Indians were thought to have been tortured and abused in the "punishment room." Shalimar and Adewyn agreed to help the tortured victims go to the light if they so chose.

Continuing to investigate the cellar, Mario, Irene, Shalimar, Adewyn and I went to the little room on the left at the bottom of the stairway. Mario had a personal experience in this room. He encountered the “cobweb” feeling across the top of his forehead. This usually means a person has been “touched” by an entity. There were many cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. After all, we were in the cellar. However, we couldn't find any cobwebs nearby or above the area where Mario was standing, and when he wiped his head, there was no cobweb matter on his hands. Adewyn detected there was a gentleman spirit standing near her that was 24 years old, had black hair, blue eyes, and was French. He was wearing black pants, a cream colored shirt and shiny shoes. He said he owned one of the first cars in the 1900’s and that he was in the newspaper business. He said he was a “ladies man.” While we were listening to Adewyn describe this gentleman, we all saw the entry door to this room move 2-3 inches. Shalimar repositioned herself and stood in front of the door to keep it from closing. While investigating in the cellar, Mario was speaking into his EVP recorder and captured the following EVP's: Mario speaking, "...or any spirit that's here, could you please make a sound?" and a noise similar to that of a champagne cork being popped can be heard.  Another EVP was captured as Mario was saying, "Could you speak your name please?" and you can hear a name being whispered that sounds like "Harry."  And, Mario captured yet another EVP in the cellar. He was asking, "Could you give us a sound...", etc., and a rapid clackety clacking noise can be heard.

We left the cellar to split up and investigate other rooms in the house. We went to the second floor where the bedrooms are located. Adewyn and Shalimar stayed downstairs to talk with the homeowner. We found Bill, Chris and Rita in the bedroom that we will refer to as the “Blue Room.” While in the Blue Room, Rita and Bill captured these EVP's. Rita speaks into the EVP recorder and asks if the Easter Bunny was taken out of the mirror (re: our first investigation.) Rita said, "Please tell us." An entity then replies a very faint "No."  Soon afterward, Bill speaks into the EVP recorder and asks to communicate with an entity. While Bill is speaking you can hear "shh" and shortly after Bill stops speaking, you hear "hush, hush".  Bill and Rita decided to go down to the cellar, Chris stayed in the “Blue Room”, and Mario and Irene went to the Canopy Room. I stayed in the Blue Room for a moment with Chris and then decided to go into the Canopy Room with Irene and Mario. During the short time in the Blue Room with Chris I captured an EVP, but I am not including it in this writing because it is inaudible. There was no activity in the Canopy Room, so Mario, Irene, and I soon moved into the Blue Room as Chris had left and gone to the attic with Rita. While investigating the Blue Room we captured the following EVP's: A crinkling of paper can be heard (we were opening a bag) as Irene is saying, "..very informative.." and then, "Hi, oh my God, aaaah" can be heard.

We investigated until approximately midnight, packed up our gear, thanked the homeowner for their cooperation during our investigation, and headed home. After reviewing our evidence and EVP's, we arrived at the same conclusion as we did during our previous investigations. The home and it's surroundings definitely has paranormal activity.
