Private Residence in Ossipee, NH (Third Investigation) May 01,
2010
On May 01, 2010, the Souhegan Paranormal Investigators and
guest had the opportunity to return a third time to investigate a private residence in Ossipee, NH.
We had 6 people attend this investigation. Attendees from the SPI group were Susan, John, Patti, Rita,
Michelle, and Matt. If you haven't already read about the first two investigations we did, you might
want to read about them to help you understand some of the history about this property. Our focus on
the first two investigations was mainly inside the home. However, this investigation was being
conducted to focus mostly on the outdoors as there are some very strange photos that have been
captured while filming in and near the woods just behind the house. In our photo gallery, we have
included photos that SPI took that evening along with photos that have been captured by the homeowners
themselves during the many, many evenings that they have conducted their own mini investigations in hopes to
learn the nature of the phenomena. Along with the strange photos that have been captured, sounds of
growling have been heard both in the woods and in the house. It is not unusual to hear the crackling of tree
branches when someone is walking in the woods, nor to hear the sounds of growling in the woods, but it
is unusual to investigate the source of these sounds and come up empty handed, not just on one occasion, but
on a few occasions.
We set up our outdoor IR camera along with a night vision
camcorder. We all had our digital cameras, our digital recorders, and the KII meter. We began our
session at approximately 8:40 pm and was hopeful that we would find explanations for the events the
homeowners told us about. When we were all settled, we began and EVP session. Sue was
speaking and asked the entities to show themselves. We were all taking pictures at that time and
captured some of the prettiest and most colorful orbs that any of us had ever seen. Matt actually
captured an orb that he described looked like a marshmellow floating by which was over the grave of where the
little girl is believed to be buried.
Michelle, who is a sensitive, used her intuition and advised us of
the information she received. She said there were two Native Americans in the forest. There was a
small Native American man near the tall tree to the right and a second taller Native American man
standing to the left of the tree. She placed a family of 5 in the house; mother, father, two boys (ages
unknown) and a young girl around 7 years old. She feels the year was 1805. The little girl
heard a noise outside and went out to see what was causing the noise. Wearing a pink night dress, she
walked toward a stone walled area that is lined with trees (that area still exists today). The smaller
Native American murdered the little girl and the second man was unhappy about the murder. Their intent
was to steal some chickens, and now they had a murder on their hands. The little girls father found her
and laid her to rest somewhere near the edge of town.
Michelle and Patti lit a candle and began asking the
spirits/ghosts to make the flame higher and lower as well as move the flame to the left and to the
right. We were very careful to take precaution that there was no wind during this session. They
seemed to get a response to their questions. You can see photos of this session by clicking on the
link at the bottom of this page to bring you to the photo gallery.
On this Ossipee property, as we have mentioned in our two previous
investigations, is the grave of Samuel Nutt. Samuel was a soldier in the Civil War. It is unknown
why Samuel was buried on this property, but town records show this is definitely his burial site.
Michelle made visual contact with Samuel and told us that he was of medium build with brown hair and was
between 23-27 yrs. old and that he died from something else other than being a war casualty. Town
records show that Samuel died in 1865 from a disease. Though Samuel was not living when the little girl
was murdered, each night Samuel stands near his gravesite and sees the reenactment of the little girl's
murder.
Note: Using headphones will enhance the audio for your
listening pleasure.
EVP's Captured
Outside:
Only a few minutes into the investigation, Patti captured this EVP. At position :05 it sounds
like a male whispering "okay". We cannot be sure that is the correct word. At the end
of the audio clip is a "pinging" sound which we believe to be one of our cameras.
Patti captured the next EVP that sounds like the clanking of metal similar to
when a blacksmith is working on a horseshoe. We do want to point out that it could have been Sue's camera hitting
against the metal leg of her lawn chair, but it really doesn't sound like that, nor does the rhythm seem to
correlate with the banging of a camera. These can be heard at positions :03, :05, :16, :17, :18, and :30.
A third EVP Patti captured outside is inaudible, but a whisper can be heard.
Matt and Sue were talking in a low voice about Sue's new camera and Sue was telling Matt she didn't really know too
much about it yet. You will hear Matt say, "yeah" in then there is a third voice (we are not sure who that was) and
at position :06 a very low whisper can be heard. You will definitely need earphones to hear the whisper.
On two occasions, Matt and John heard noises in the woods. On one of these
occasions, Patti saw a flash of light in the woods just before the noise was heard. Matt and John immediately ran
to the areas where the noises were being made and could not find the source. We have no explanation for the sounds
that were heard. Shortly after the second occurrence, Matt's camera would fade completely out of focus and go black
and then it would return to its normal state. This happened several times and finally it returned to normal and was
fine after that. We captured photos of orbs of many different colors which you will find in the photo gallery. Matt
captured what looks like to be the face of a ghostly bear among the trees. Michelle captured what looks like a
figure of some sort walking in the woods. At first we thought maybe it was light coming through the trees/brush,
but if you look closely it does appear to have a torso and to be wearing a 3/4 sleeve tunic top with with an arm
and hand extending out of the sleeve. Though the legs are not defined, it does appear to have legs. Along with the
photos we captured are photos captured by the owners of the property, Lisa and Joe.
We did investigate the inside of the home for a short period of time. The
following EVP's were captured:
The First Bedroom
(Once Known as The Paint Room):
The
Kitchen:
During our EVP session in the kitchen, we were also using the KII meter. Sue
asked if the spirits/ghosts knew anything about a barn being on the property more than 60 years ago. The KII meter
lit all the way up to red. Lisa asked if they were happy with the decorating that had recently been done to the
upstairs bedrooms, and again the meter lit up to red. When we were wrapping up our session, Sue was speaking
letting them know we were going to end the session. The KII meter lit up to amber. Lisa then posed another question
and asked if they were mad at her because she kicked them out of her bedroom one night, and the meter lit up to
amber. Sue then repeated that we were going to have to wrap it up because it was quite late and the meter lit up to
amber again. The session was now over.
Conclusion: We continue to report that we feel there is definite
paranormal activity at this residence. We captured some pictures during the investigation to share with you
Because there are so many pictures, they will not be in any special order; rather they will be listed by the
person who took the picture. To view the image gallery, please click on this link. Pictures From Ossipee, NH (Third Investigation) May 01,

With their permission, we have also added a second link to photos that were
taken by the homeowners. Please be sure to visit this photo gallery. There are some truly unexplainable photos that
have been captured. To view Lisa and Joe's image gallery, please click on this link. Pictures that have been taken by Lisa and
Joe, Ossipee, NH.
