Private Residence in Ossipee, NH
(Second Investigation)  March 13, 2010

On March 13, 2010, the Souhegan Paranormal Investigators and guest had the opportunity to return a second time to investigate a private residence in Ossipee, NH. We had 4 people attend this investigation. Attendees from the SPI group were Susan, John, and Patti.  Our guest was Amanda Cole.  We already had a unique understanding of the history of this property.  However, not mentioned in the write up of our first investigation is that there were actually two men who died in this house.  It is our understanding that a Native American gentleman, (name unknown) lived in this house with his wife and son not all that many years ago.  He wrote a letter mentioning that if he were soon to die soon the reason would be that his wife was the murderer, and she might have used poison to commit the dirty deed.  He gave the sealed letter to an elderly lady that lived nearby.  He asked her not to open the letter, but if he was to meet his demise that she should give the letter to the police.  The man died soon thereafter sitting at the kitchen table.  We do not know his name.  Therefore, we cannot locate a death certificate to verify cause of death.  The elderly woman did not give the letter to the police as she was worried that she might have been implicated in the murder.  She hung onto the letter for 1-1/2 years, and without ever reading the contents she destroyed the letter.

Upon our arrival, the owners of the property, Joe and Lisa, had a wonderful full course spaghetti dinner waiting for us.  After eating a delicious meal, we reviewed the evidence that we collected from our first investigation.  Listed below is some of the activity told to us by Joe and Lisa that occurred since we were there on Feb. 13, 2010. 

• One morning, Joe got out of bed at 4:00 a.m. to use the bathroom, and there was a yellow orb in the corner of the bathroom that shot up toward the ceiling quickly and disappeared.  
• A globe that goes on one of their ceiling lights was sitting on a shelf and for some unexplained reason fell to the floor and broke into pieces.  
• For unknown reasons, dishes have fallen out of the cupboard and broken into pieces.  
• Their cat, Harley, had been in the upstairs bedroom (the paint room) and came flying out of the room as if there was a force behind him and landed on his side on the fourth stair from the top of the stairs.  He limped for two days.  
• While sleeping in bed one night, Joe felt he was being poked in his side.  He thought it was Lisa, but upon checking, she was sound asleep.  
• One night Lisa was in bed sleeping and awoke to the feeling of pressure being applied on top of the bedcovers where her toes were.  
• Lisa was taking a bath and heard a very loud crash in the kitchen.  She called to Joe, not once but three times thinking that he was in the kitchen and dropped something.  Upon checking, she found that the pots and pans that had just been washed and were drying on the side of the sink had all fallen into the sink making a loud crash.  Joe had been outside with his camcorder.  Lisa called Joe into the house.  He was filming with his camcorder as he was walking toward the back door to come into the house and captured a blue mist just outside the back door.  You can see photos in our photo gallery.

The Investigation:  Amanda and Sue began investigating in the blue bedroom (at one time this was their daughter's bedroom). We captured two EVP's from this room. Mandy asked, “Are you having trouble moving on?” There is a faint female response that says, “no”. She then asks, “Do you just like this house – just wanna hang out?” A response is heard that sounds female but the words are inaudible. It does, however, sound like the same female voice that said "no".     The second EVP was captured while Mandy asked, “Would you talk to her and make friends with her?” Listen carefully and you will hear a faint whisper say “no”. You will then hear some kind of consecutive rapping noise. We were both sitting on the floor, so it’s not the sound made like when someone gets up from the bed. 

 The Paint Room:  While investigating the paint room (also known as the first bedroom), Patti and John captured a couple of EVP's.  They were having a conversation about using cinnamon as a healing spice.  Listen carefully as Patti tries to debunk the first EVP which was a loud rap that they heard with their naked ears.      A second EVP was captured when Patti was asking if they were angry that Joe and Lisa were thinking about selling their place.  Right after the word place can be heard "no".        It is also noteworthy to mention that when Sue and Amanda were investigating in this room Amanda could feel some tapping and vibration on the floor under her feet.  Oddly, Sue's camera batteries drained almost simultaneously.

 The Living Room:  While investigating the living room, Patti heard Lisa cough. An EVP was captured soon after the cough, and then you will hear Patti say, "Bless you.".  The EVP that was captured is inaudible but it is clear that a female is speaking. 

 The Master Bedroom:   The master bedroom is connected to the bathroom and separated by a door.  While Amanda and I were investigating the master bedroom, I told her that I was going to walk through the living room to get to the other side of the door so I could unlock it.  Sue had her EVP recorder in her hand and while walking through the living room there was a substantial amount of interference with her EVP recorder.      Later that evening, when Patti and John were in the living room, Patti had the same kind of interference with her EVP recorder, but John's recorder didn't seem to be affected by any interference.  A second EVP that Sue captured in the master bedroom was when she was asking the entity to come closer and speak in the recorder.  Sue said, "You can make it light up" and soon thereafter a male can faintly be heard saying "no".       This next recording does not contain an EVP, but while in the bedroom Sue had seen a streak of light pass through the bathroom very quickly.  There was also two taps that occurred nearly at the same time, but the recorder did not pick it up.  Amanda and Sue both heard these taps with their naked ear.  This is a recording of that conversation.    Amanda also picked up a smell of apple cinnamon potpourri, but it vanished as quickly as it came.

The Kitchen:  The following EVP's were captured in the kitchen. We all sat around the table, including Lisa and Joe, doing EVP work and monitoring the DVR.

• Sue is speaking and said, “We just ask if any entity is here with us, step forward”.  You will hear a loud clang. Then Sue said, “We have these devices; they’re recorders”.  You can soon hear what sounds like a male saying “uuh”.      
• Sue is speaking and said, “Who is the blue mist? What is your name?”  Fourteen seconds later we all heard a faint thump.    
• Sue is speaking and said, “What year were you born?”  First, a faint thump can be heard.  Next a female sounding sigh is heard, finally followed by another faint thump.   
• Sue is speaking and said, “We would also like to know who that pink orb is that continuously appears. Right after the word "appears" is a sound like a female sigh that can be heard.  
• Patty asks, “Who keeps tapping their foot?” and Lisa said, “That’s what I’m wondering.”  A male voice responds with a quick “huuuuuh” after the word "wondering" and again just before Lisa is heard saying, "What was that?"  
• Kitchen – Sue is asking, “If the answer is yes, please make the light blink once and if the answer is no…” Right after the word "no" is an “aaaah”. This response was captured while using the KII Meter.  
• Kitchen – Sue is asking, “If the answer is yes…” and right after Sue says "yes" there are two separate exhales.  One exhale sounds male and the other sounds female.  This response was captured while using the KII Meter.  The KII Meter - We were using the KII meter during our session in the kitchen. The meter was lying flat on the table between Joe and Sue. There was no activity with it until 12:35 a.m. All of a sudden, the meter lit up and went from green all the way to red; not once but twice consecutively. We began to ask questions, and after a couple of minutes passed, the meter lit up again to amber. It didn't light up any more after that.

 Conclusion:  We feel that we collected enough evidence during this investigation to remain confident that this property has paranormal activity not only inside the house, but also outside on the property.  We are looking forward to a return visit in May.
