Private Residence in Auburn, New Hampshire

On January 22, 2011, Souhegan Paranormal Investigators had the privilege to conduct an investigation at a private residence in Auburn, NH. Attendees from SPI included Sue, John, Patti, Debbie, Michelle, and Eric.  Also included in this investigation was our very good friend from Synergy Paranormal, Frank Castellano.  Frank is an EVP specialist from Boston, MA, with an added talent of being a sensitive. 

SPI had been contacted by our clients due to strange happenings going on in their home.  There were claims of having the feeling like they were being watched.  Their 3 year old son, Sam, often spoke about the "ghost" that lived in his bedroom closet and was sometimes seen leaving Sam's room and going into the guest bedroom that is directly down the hall.  The gentleman of the house has heard footsteps in the upstairs hallway, and upon investigating the footsteps no one was there.  He also saw a shadow figure in the downstairs hallway.  Another time, a friend who was visiting our clients saw a black mass move along the downstairs hallway and out onto the porch.  And yet, as recent as over the Christmas holidays of 2010, a family member who was visiting saw what looked to be a female apparition wearing a long white hooded robe standing near the fireplace in the family room.  With all of this activity happening (and more), the SPI team was anxious to conduct our investigation to see if we could find explanations for these oddities.  This home is new construction and is only six years old.  We were curious to try to understand why any spirits would choose to live here unless they had a certain attachment to the occupants of the home or an attachment to the land.

We arrived at 5:00 p.m. and conducted our walk-through.  We then proceeded to set-up our equipment.  There were four family members that wished to remain in the house while we conducted our investigation.  It worked out okay because while they remained very quiet, they were able to monitor the DVR system for us.

Note:  Using headphones will enhance the audio for your listening pleasure.  You may have to turn the volume up as well, because some of these EVP's are weak, but we didn't want to omit them because they are a true part of our evidence.

How the Evening Began: During the walk-through phase, while on the second floor of the house, Frank felt a magnetism drawing him to an area of the hallway between little Sam's bedroom and the master bedroom. He quickly found the energy field which was almost against the wall in the hallway. The sensations were quite strong and caused him to become somewhat disorientated which signified to him that he was occupying this beings exact spot, but in separate dimensions. The field of energy quickly moved away.

We would also like to share this video with you that was videotaped by Frank prior to the start of the investigation. As mentioned before, Frank has very specialized equipment that he uses to determine human voice from non-human. Therefore, these EVP's when played will have a different sound effect than if they were from raw audio footage. However, they have not been manipulated in any way that would change the structure of the wording. You will hear a lot of talking, so the first EVP is going to be very difficult to hear, and you may not be able to hear it all. However, the second EVP is able to be heard loud and clear. Also, in this audio clip, at position 1:10, Frank captured what we now believe to be an unknown figure on his Handycam Recorder. It goes by real fast, so you may want to freeze the video at position 1:10 to view the unknown figure. We have consulted with the homeowners and other family members and to the best of their knowledge they cannot identify this image. This could be the unknown figure that a family member had seen standing in front of the fireplace in the Family Room during the Christmas holidays. At position :44 a male voice appears to be saying "hel--lo" and at position :51, you will hear the words "get out" loud and clear. Both of these have been determined to be non-human voice.
