Private Residence in Ashburnham, MA (Second Investigation) January 16,
2010
On January 16, 2010, the Souhegan Paranormal Investigators conducted a second
investigation at this private residence built sometime between 1730 and 1750 in Ashburnham, MA. We were
hoping to capture additional evidence of paranormal activity. To review the write-up on our first
investigation, please visit Private Residence, Ashburnham, MA
(First Investigation) November 21, 2009. The following five members of SPI attended this investigation:
Irene and Mario Boldini, Patti and John Basiliere, and Susan Allen.
The
Investigation: Upon our arrival, we set up our
equipment in the hot spots where we had hoped to capture paranormal activity. The house was very cold as
it is uninhabited and there is no heat. We arrived at 7:30 p.m., and began our investigation at approximately
8:41 p.m. Due to the discomfort of our being cold, we decided to wrap up the investigation at 10:30
p.m. Due to the short amount of time that we were there, we did not capture the evidence that we were in
hopes of securing, but we did get a few EVP's.
The first room we investigated was the upstairs bedroom (here
after known as the "active bedroom") where we previously captured several EVP's, and the anomaly that we
captured on video. All five of us investigated this room together. Within the first five minutes,
while sitting quietly in our chairs doing some EVP work, Mario's hat was knocked off his head.
There is the possibility that it "fell" off his head, but when analyzing the evidence his hat fit tightly on
his head. When moving his head back and forth and up and down, we could not make the hat fall off
again. Also, approximately nine minutes into the investigation, Sue noticed that her EVP recorder was
off. She may have forgotten to turn it on, but she doesn't think that was the case. We are not
saying for sure that either of these incidents were of a paranormal nature. However, they seemed to be
out of the ordinary.
Note:
Using headphones will enhance the audio for your listening
pleasure.
While investigating the active bedroom upstairs where we
previously captured many EVP's, we attained the following EVP's:
There is a room adjacent to the active bedroom that was at one time a
kitchen. Mario, Sue and Irene were in this room discussing the kitchen and when it might have been added to
this old house. Mario is saying, "This was a kitchen..." and while Sue is saying, "Yes", at position :03
you can hear what sounds to be a female saying, "Kitchen". At position :26, you can also hear an exhale
of breath that sounds like "haaaah".
A final EVP was captured on Patti's digital recorder while we were in the living
room. Patti and John were watching the DVR and saw an anomaly floating down the DVR screen that was recording the
living room. They were discussing seeing it and at positions :13 and :14, you can faintly hear the humming of
a female voice.
The anomaly that we captured in the living room is hard to describe. It
almost looks like a piece of paper floating down from the ceiling toward the floor. It certainly is much
too large to be a piece of dust. We have concluded that it was probably an odd shaped orb. As we
know, orbs are not always perfectly round. They can be in different shapes and different
forms. We are hoping to revisit this private residence again in the good weather
when we can spend a lot more time investigating.
We captured some
pictures that we thought were prudent to the investigation. To view the image gallery, please
