Investigation at Holistic Self Care Center in Nashua, NH

On September 22, 2011, Susan Allen, Director and Lead Investigator from Souhegan Paranormal Investigators had conducted a presentation at the Holistic Center in Nashua, NH. As a follow-up to this presentation, The Holistic Center requested a paranormal investigation to be held at their facility on October 7, 2011. Tickets were sold to attend this event which enabled folks who had never investigated before the opportunity to participate in a paranormal investigation. All the money collected from this investigation was donated to the Spirit of Nepal Scholarship Fund which is awarded to one deserving student per year to continue their spiritual journey toward enlightenment.  Leading the investigation were two members from SPI: Susan Allen and Eric Metzler.

Barb Tremlett is the CEO/Executive Director of the Center which offers a natural approach to optimal health and wellness. What better place for spirits to reside? We were very impressed with the themes of the different massage rooms, acupuncture room, meeting rooms, etc.  It is a peaceful place where one can go to soothe their soul.

There were a total of six people who actually participated in the investigation. This worked out well because we were able to control most contamination issues that we might have had.    

History: Unfortunately, the history of this building is a bit vague, so we do not have much history to share with you. What we can share is that the Holistic Self Care Center opened in 2005. The facility is of totally new construction, but the land has been occupied by several previous companies and buildings. When the new building was constructed in 2005, it was built with steel enforced concrete. The building is 18 feet tall to allow a second story if needed. Special approval was given by the FDA to build this facility because the original plan was to use the building to manufacture chemicals. The facility is constructed to uphold such disasters as earthquakes, and maintains a consistent temperature very well through the whole year.

The HSS Center is approximately 4,000 square feet of a 110,000 foot building.  The Center has 7 treatment rooms, a 600 square foot studio and a smaller class room space that is called the Grand Canyon Room. 

The HSS Center has been evaluated by many energy people such as healers, psychics, etc.  It has been said by these evaluators that people have died on this site and that is the reason why so much energy flows through the building.  Also, the fact that a lot of energy work is performed here such as acupuncture, massages, etc., also creates energy and that might be another reason why spirits/ghosts like to be there.

Prior to the Investigation:  Eric explained to the participants how to use some of our equipment.  We advised them of some of the techniques we use during our investigations to assist in making contact with the spirits.

Eric did a scan of the massage rooms and acupuncture room and obtained some high EMF readings along the back walls of each of these rooms that were from natural causes.  Evaluating the cause of high EMF readings helps us in knowing whether the high EMF is caused by something natural or that it may be caused from possible spirit energy. 

Native American Room: It was 9:20 pm when we began our investigation. The first room we investigated was the Native American Room. This room seemed to hold a lot of activity for us. We were getting strong hits of high EMF on our cell sensor meter. Prior to the investigation, Eric had strong EMF coming from the back wall in this room, so at first we thought it might be coming from the back wall. However, when we moved the meter between the center of the massage bed and the back wall, there was a break in the high EMF reading. We originally began measuring the EMF starting at the back wall and when we moved the EMF meter midway between the wall and the massage bed the meter stopped registering EMF. Then when we moved the meter over the center of the bed, it began registering high EMF. We held the meter high over the center of the bed and we still obtained high EMF. The massage tables do have electric blankets, but they were not plugged in. The bed did have a metal frame, but again when we put the meter on the frame, it did not register high EMF. This did not make any sense. We tried to find the source of what was causing the high EMF over the center of the bed, but we could not find any explanation. 

Personal Experiences:  One of the participants whose name is Yvette was using a pendulum.   The pendulum seemed to work well for her in that when we asked questions, the pendulum did respond.   There were times when Yvette was using the pendulum that she felt tingling in her hands and fingers.   

Twenty-two minutes and 53 seconds into the session Eric’sand Sue’s camera batteries died.   

We were perplexed because there was so much going on. We were getting high EMF readings in areas where we shouldn’t be getting any. Yvette was feeling tingling in her hands and fingers from time to time, and our camera batteries were dying. Could we possibly have had some spirit energy with us? Below are some EVP’s (electronic voice phenomena) that we captured during our session. These might explain why we were experiencing all this electromagnetic energy. It seems that we did indeed have one or more spirits that wanted to interact with us.
