Investigation at Pauli’s Restaurant, Tilton,
NH
October
2, 2011
Souhegan
Paranormal Investigators were called in to investigate Pauli’s Restaurant, located in Tilton, NH. We held the investigation on October 2, 2011. Attendees from the
SPI group were Susan, John, Patti, Michelle, Debbie, and Eric. Our clients gave us a tour of the facility and then
we went to work setting up our equipment.
History:
Unfortunately, the history of this building
was a bit vague, so we do not have much history to share with you. What we do know is that sometime during
the 1800’s there was a fire that enveloped the building and it burned to the ground. The entire building that
now houses several store fronts and apartments is in the middle of renovations. The claims of activity seem
to have picked up since the renovations began. Below is a list of some of the claims:
1. There was a pot of sauce cooking on the
stove. The owner had to leave it unattended for a few minutes to take
care of something else requiring attention. When she returned to stir the
sauce there were three packets of dairy creamers, unopened, swirling around in the sauce. She could not explain how the packets got in the sauce.
2.
From time to time, loaves of bread are
removed from the bread rack and are found on the floor when the owner opens the restaurant in the
mornings.
3.
On occasion, waitresses apron ties become
untied.
4.
The owner has seen a black figure walk up the
cellar stairs and exit the back door.
The
Investigation: With
everyone’s help, we were able to set up our equipment in a timely fashion. We split up into teams and began
our investigation. Below are our personal
experiences and EVP’s that we collected during the investigation.
First
Basement:
Personal
Experience:Sue and Eric were the first team to investigate the first basement. Within
the first 25 minutes of their session, Sue saw two quick flashes of light pass by. Eric did not see them.
Twelve minutes later, Eric saw a quick flash of light. Sue did not see the light but began feeling a chill around her
lower legs. Eric was not feeling chilled. He put his hand in the field where Sue was experiencing the cold, but he
did not feel anything. Then when he touched her jeans, they were quite cold so he began to take pictures.
Unfortunately, he was not able to capture anything on film.
Fifty-two minutes
and 10 seconds into their EVP session, Eric was standing just inside the doorway and began to feel the cobweb
sensation on his face which is a feeling when either we have walked into a spirit’s field or if they have touched
us. There were plenty of cobwebs in different areas of the basement, but after checking the area where Eric was
standing we could not find any that he might have walked through, etc. He wiped his face and there was no residue
on his hand. During this same timeframe, Eric thought he heard someone say “thank you”, and he knew it was
not either one of us. We did not capture it on our voice recorders. However, later on during our group session in
the first basement a couple of folks did capture on their voice recorders a spirit saying “thank you”. (EVP
#3).
Personal
Experience: Michelle and Debbie
were the second team to investigate the first basement. While conducting an EVP session, Debbie asked, “Do you mind
us taking your picture?” A few seconds later, a very strong male spirit replied, “No”. They both heard the “no”
with their naked ear.
Personal
Experience:
We were conducting a group session in
the first basement. Patti and John heard a spirit entity whisper “thank you” with their naked
ear. (EVP #3)
Personal
Experience:
Twenty-seven minutes into our group session in the first basement, Eric thought he
heard footsteps going up the stairs that lead to the back door entrance. Both he and John checked out the stairway area, but could
not find anything to explain the sound of the footsteps. Eric was astute enough to take a picture and captured a
light blue orb on the stairway. (See picture #34 in our photo
gallery.)
